There has been an increasing recognition of the value of alternate
traditional and non-traditional therapies in recent years. This interest
in the use of alternate health care techniques amongst human patients
is parallelled by a growing need in the horse industry for non-traditional
health care professionals as an adjunct to traditional veterinary
care.
This Diploma of Equine Massage Therapy offers comprehensive training
to allow people to become professional Equine Massage Therapists.
As professional therapists students will need to understand issues
like:
- Massage techniques and programs
- Horse health and nutrition
- Horse injury and repair
- Anatomy and physiology
- Biomechanics and conformation
of movement
- Exercise and movement
- Equine first aid.
